The Psychology Department offers a broad range of courses covering the variety of topics in psychology. After taking Psychology 100 (A First Course in Psychology), students choose from courses in such areas as social psychology, developmental psychology, child psychology, educational psychology, personality, abnormal and clinical psychology, cognitive psychology, experimental methods, neuroscience, language, and psychology of learning. By the junior year, students begin to take advanced seminars in their areas of interest and also to do independent field work and research one-on-one with faculty members. Class size is kept small, with no more than 45 students in the introductory course, around 20-25 students in the basic courses, and around 8-14 students in seminars. Many students do one or more independent projects for course credit in the form of independent fieldwork, research, or thesis. Learn more here: http://muse.union.edu/psychology/

CALLING ALL SENIORS: We know that at some point you probably asked yourself, "what am I going to do with a Psychology major from Union College??!!" Every year students face this question. As successful graduates, why not help them answer it?
Psi Chi is creating a database geared towards current Psychology students that will include names of recent alumni, their post-graduation plans and contact information so that current students can get a better sense of where their Union degree can take them. In addition, students and alumni will be able to contact you and perhaps understand better how they can get to where you are.
